Surf to The Sunset
Canggu is a prominent destination on the map for surfers, known for its longboard surf spots, which are relatively rare in Bali. The area has gained significant recognition as a surf destination, thanks in part to the presence of Deus Ex Machina’s Bali outpost, known as the Deus Temple of Enthusiasm, and its annual classic single fin longboarding contests.
Eat, Drink, Party
Canggu has transformed into a year-round destination, often considered an idyllic paradise for a diverse range of visitors. It caters to surfers, yogis, spa and healthy food enthusiasts, families, romantic couples, backpackers, partygoers, and young travelers seeking vibrant nightlife, restaurants, cafes, co-working spaces, beach clubs, and seaside activities. Additionally, Canggu has become a magnet for digital nomads looking to establish it as their new home base in Bali.
The nightlife in Canggu is vibrant and offers a variety of experiences, including beach parties at The Sand Bar, daily events at Old Man’s beer garden, Lost City at Echo Beach, Vault in Berawa, Pretty Poison, The Lawn on Batu Bolong Beach, and many more.
